At Washington Pain and Spine Specialists, our mission is to compassionately help patients suffering from long-term pain with comprehensive, wellness and multidisciplinary approaches to help our patients get their lives back! Our vision is to be innovative and forward-thinking in implementing pain therapies into patient lives safely. It is also to educate everyone with the advancements of pain management which is a rapidly evolving specialty. The goals of our treatment approaches will be to decrease pain, improve function and reduce the need for opioids.
About
Dr. Praveen Mambalam
Dr Mambalam has more than 15 years of experience as an advanced interventional pain physician. He is board certified in Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine by the American Board of Anesthesia. He has special interests in Neuromodulation and Minimally Invasive Procedures for pain all over the body. He did his Anesthesia training in New York at Montefiore Medical Center and completed training in Pain Medicine at the University of Washington Medical Center. He is an educator for future doctors and serves as an Assistant Professor at Washington State University. He has extensive clinical research experience to explore novel therapies in Pain Medicine.

Dr. Mambalam has been the most amazing doctor, truly managing my husband's back pain for the first time in 20 yrs. He is completely thorough in his treatment plans, explaining them in depth and gaining our trust. He always makes time for us and instills complete confidence in his work and plan. Only complaint I have is that it can be very difficult to get to a live person on the phone when calling the clinics at either location. That needs work.
